Planet Dive, a simple and pleasant dive resort, built in 1999 on Mabini peninsula. It is the resort the furthest south among all those we offer.
Its main advantage is that it is located in front of the most beautiful coral site in the area : Twin Peak. You can do as much dives as you want there from the shore, when you have done your morning boat dives in other famous sites in Anilao or Sombrero Island.
The resort counts 16 rooms, as well as two family villas, all located on the hill facing the sea (just as 90% of the hotels in Mabini).
An outdoor restaurant and a bar on the beach, with chairs and deckchairs, are among the facilities.
Meals are served buffet-style. Food, even if quite basic, is generous. On Saturdays, a BBQ and local band bring a party mood as only our Philippine friends can do it.
We recommend a stay for between 5 and 7 days, to explore all muck dive sites in Anilao, as well as coral sites in nearby islands. For dive addicts, the Twin Peak site, just in front of the resort, allows you to do, at your own pace, up to 3 more dives than the 2 morning boat dives included in your package.
This is a simple and friendly resort, with an excellent quality/price ratio. Combined with Romblon, for real Nudibranchs lovers.
Diving in Anilao with Planet Dive…
As in all Anilao Mabini resorts, Planet Dive has its own dive club. It is a NAUI club with a Nitrox and Trimix filling station. Their rental equipment is good quality and their guides are very good « spotters ».
Anilao is one the world’s diving meccas, along with Tulaben and Ambon. It is also a very popular place among world’s professional underwater photographers. Jerome Kim or Dennis Corpus have become permanent residents there, and thanks to images taken in these waters, they highly succeeded in international photo contests in the macro category.
Local guides are here to help you spot fish and not to manage your group’s dive, not even will they guide you : you are supposed to be an experienced diver and photographer who doesn’t need much help regarding air consumption or safety, this is mainly your buddy’s duty.
Their job is to help you find as much little « creatures » as possible to take pictures of during your dive (between 60’ and 80’). Most dives take place in 12m of water, with sometimes incursions in the 22/25m zone to see for example razor shrimps which live in the black coral this deep.
Boats used for diving are traditional Bancas. A medical first aid kit and oxygen supply are of course available in the club.

We offer all inclusive packages, including full-board accomodation, dives from the boat and unlimited dives on the house reef.
We suggest you book a stay in Anilao along with a package you’d book in an other island or with a safari in Philippines.

Planet Dive Resort counts 16 bedrooms. Some are a bit old and less well-equipped than recent ones. As we know the place quite well, we will make sure you get the best available room at the time of booking. There are 3 categories of rooms: Twin, Double, Triple rooms and even quad for families.
Rooms all have air-con, a fan and a private bathroom with hot water. The most beautiful ones have a large bay window and for some of them, a balcony with a fantastic view on the sea. A few of them have wifi access.
